Osiris Reconstitutes. The Seeds Are In. ☥
PERET SEASON ☥ NOV 9 – MAR 9

Peret Season Clothing ☥ The Kemetic Growing Season — When Seeds Become Roots

Peret is the Kemetic growing season — November 9 through March 9 — when Osiris reconstitutes, the black silt Akhet deposited comes alive with seeds, and the invisible work of cultivation begins. Dress the season that governs everything you cannot yet see.

The seed does not ask whether the harvest is coming. It roots in the dark. Peret is the season of that trust — the invisible discipline of cultivation, the work that happens underground before the world can see any of it. Osiris reconstitutes. Ptah builds in the void. Thoth records. The crop is already in motion.

What Is Peret? ☥

The Kemetic agricultural calendar divided the year into three seasons: Akhet (inundation, Sep 11–Nov 9), Peret (emergence/growing, Nov 9–Mar 9), and Shemu (harvest, Mar 9–Sep 11). Peret is the cultivation season — when the black silt Akhet deposited is now alive with seeds and the invisible work of growth begins beneath the surface.

The Osiris myth runs parallel to this agricultural cycle at every point. Osiris was scattered by Set during the flood season, Isis gathered his pieces during Akhet, and Peret is when he reconstitutes — the god IS the agricultural calendar. His resurrection is not a metaphor for spring warmth; it is a precise map of the biological and cosmological mechanism that turns dissolution into cultivation. Set is not the villain; Set is the winter ground that “kills” the seed so it can root.

The name Peret (Pr.t) means “coming forth” — emergence from the soil, from darkness, from the underground phase of work. This season governs the invisible work before the visible result, the discipline of cultivation without immediate harvest, the trust required when seeds are underground and nothing appears to be happening on the surface. November through January is the deep cultivation phase. February and March are the emergence weeks when what was seeded begins to push toward the surface. Peret closes on March 9, when Shemu opens and the harvest phase begins.

In 9 Ether practice, Peret is the season governed by four principles working together: Osiris (reconstitution), Isis (the intelligence that gathers and assembles), Thoth (the record-keeper who documents underground progress), and Ptah (the architect who builds form in the void before it can be seen). What you wear during this season is a declaration of which force you are aligned with.

Peret Conscious Clothing ☥

What you wear during a cultivation season matters. The Osiris tee ☥ is the reconstitution principle — the declaration that what was scattered is now being reassembled. The Isis tee ☥ is the gatherer, the force that reassembles from pieces. The Thoth tee ☥ documents the process — because Peret work that is not recorded cannot be evaluated at Shemu. The Ptah tee ☥ is the builder who creates in the void before form appears — the architect of the invisible phase.

The Ancestral Joggers are the movement garment for the quiet season — designed for the early mornings and the slow builds that Peret demands. The Ancestral Awakening Bundle ($44.99) brings together the tee, the Field Guide, and the Audiobook as the complete Peret kit. Shop the full collection at /collection ☥.

How to Observe Peret ☥

1.

Identify your “seeds” — What did you commit to on Wepet Renpet (the Kemetic New Year, Jul 19)? What did Ancestor Month reveal about your lineage work? Write these down on November 9. They are the seeds going into the Peret ground.

2.

Build in the dark — November through January is the deep cultivation phase. Resist the urge to show work before it is ready. The root must establish before the shoot emerges. Ptah builds in the void. Trust the process that has no visible result yet.

3.

Document with Thoth — Use the 9 Ether Field Guide ($18) ☥ for journaling what is growing underground. What shifted this week? What became clearer? What died that needed to die? Thoth records the invisible progress so Shemu can measure the actual harvest.

4.

Trust the Nile logic — The flood was not the point; the crop is the point. Akhet deposited the black silt. Peret uses it. The harvest does not come during cultivation season — it comes after it. Close Peret on March 9 with a harvest inventory: what emerged from what you planted?

The seeds are in. Dress the cultivation season. ☥
